nine inch nail on right rear tyre

the helicopter rotor sound sounds irritating. it was bugging me from home to my in-laws. i picked my wife up and we headed marina square.

the engine cranking has been like slight lack power of late too.

we done our task drove back to in-laws and the car was parked for 5more hours.

while heading home at about 1030pm, the helicopter sound got louder. finally at a red light while moving offf just outside the estate, the sound became familiar, it's a tyre puncture sound.

being a scout jeep driver in my army days, also a recon trained scout i am, my tyre changing skills tho invalid but still i am confident. but the bolt was simply too tight. and i realized i was too old, my back hurts when i exert too much strenght to losen the bolt. a call to delgro [edge.com.sg] for a tyre change cost $35. my spare was almost air-less but i managed to drive to the sin min branch .... was i just here like 2 months ago spending $3.5k, and my 4 tires were spanking new. cockster.

the cause of tyre puncture, was a nine inch nail hitting all the way into the wheel. the mechanic says it should not affect the wheel, lets keep it that way.

the car batt was tested weak too, i'm glad i get it changed today. i dont want another "incident" to happen to me, or be caught by one with pants down .... bloody.

money dont come but money go, i'm so stingy i'll spend on toys and games and blu-rays but not food and repairs like these. hope this round of mends will grant me "total protection" with longer lasting period without needing to consume mana.

shine like it does, my car is back

my wife got me more tees and a pair of bermudas from old navy. i'm gonna wear these usa flag tees on national day eve and national day.

repaired my front bumper finally after kissing the wish on aye. both cars repair totals $300 which is a good deal. anyone needs some body work can contact me. this workshop is mend by my long time friend boon, a classmate and friend since 1977, he now co-own the company with his dad at sin min car repair area.

i can drive better drunk

i dont drive when i drink too much. but 2day was a freakshow to kiss a vehicle's bumper when driving my wife home from work. it was on AYE and the peak hour bumper to bumper with a slight turn away from traffic my car bumped into the front car.

on inspection only my number plate seemed to have cracked and the toyota wish had a dent. but when i got home and removed the debris i notice my front bumper had slight dent and a big crack due to the impact.

not a good time when i'm dead broke, but it'll never be a good time for any car accidents. i'm glad all pax involved are ok.

Liverpool FC 09/10 away + England keeper jerseys

got a sms from shaun that he Lvierpool FC away jersey hit the streets 2day. i rushed down after checking the net on the design. glad the service at weston was good. the England keeper caught my eye as well. it doesnt have padding so it wont look awkward if i wear it out. am glad the servie at weston was good, they recommended me to the correct sizes. tested them. they look awesome. $80 for Liverpool and $99 for England. got a $9 off.

if u can see the print of the kop wings on both side.

and a classic emblem behind. this jersey is made in thailand so choose well for the QC isnt that cool, just like last season.

the england keeper umbro jersey is of a nice material, not the clima365 material, more cotton to me.

plenty of ventilation holes including 4 at the back of the jersey.

shaun has made up his mind on what to wear for the singapore Liverpool FC tour. what will be my choice?

my getz is back. bill bring to boon for the bumper repair 2mr. it's out of service for a month. total damage for my repair is $3511.85

terminator salvation official movie companion + car repair developments

was almost having the chance to own Hot Toys T-700 early last saturday, but Aleydis didnt bring it from HK. Toy Hunters apparently didnt have their stock yet. but does gave me the opportunity to switch my foucs on T-600 or the T-700 diorama?

Hot Toys have been updating their site lately this week. lotsa releases back to back. and my fever for Terminator Salvation grew wilder. heard some not so cool reviews on the movie. i didnt like The Dark Knight when i saw it in the cinema. but i grew to love it when watched it on blu-ray, of how dark this movie is. but my bets are still high on the fourth installment of the Terminator series on the big screen, and i want it to be good. the Matrix trilogy had a bad end.

on the contrary of being the 4th, TermSal is too the part1 of the supposedly new Terminator trilogy, based on the apocalyptical judgement day era. the Matrix trilogy started strong but had a bad part3, in my opinion, just like LoTR which the heat die of at the end. but it's still a long way to place any bias. we in real life are approaching the end of the human race. end of the world movies, machines taking over mankind, better sell well.

went to collect my baby car seat and stroller + other items in my car from the workshop. my car repair cost goes up everyday, it has been extended to be kept there longer due more damages discovered. the broken timing belt lead to crooked valves, 12 of them, and of 4 which needed to be ordered overseas. my pipings have hardened, and the valve guards needed replacement, which again cannot be found locally. expected cost, $2.5k.

a phone call came. the valve guards are not available around this region. they need to order from korea and it takes at least 14days. looks like my car wont be available til mid june.

i almost bought a novel for that little TermSal keychain. i saw it as a Kinokuniya free gift for purchasing any TermSal related books from Kinokuniya. but upon inspection, the keychain dont look good. i would buy a movie "making of" book over a novelization. with that it stopped me from spending the wrong money.

i chance upon the movie "making of" book at amazon.com. the fever of TermSal rose everyday as it approaches 28th May, Singapore's cinema opening. and i'm glad i got a 20%off buying it yesterday for readers week at Kino or something. they didnt give me the key chain, dont i dont really need it, but i went back to reclaim my entitlement.

the book is a good read. it kept me awake in my journey home after accompanying my with to work via bus/train. i had chose this book over the artbook, again maximizing the limited funds i have. "making of" vs concept art on a blu-ray, "making of" wins hands down. i wanted a movie related book now, to give me better decisions on which Hot Toys figure to choose; T-600, T-700, T-700 diorama, John Connor, but it'll probably makes things worst that i'll want all of them. i really have no money nor space for everything right now.

just at the first portion of the book, and i'm not gonna read any reviews to the movie as US residents had a head start, i've come to know more how the movie was conceived. so marcus wright and kyle reese are key characters in the movie. and humanity is a focus in this war film.

"it's a biblical, two-hour definition of the word 'salvation', which is deliverance from your sins and how that's earned. inthe end, it's about finding relief from one's sins and the importance of sacrifice to greater good" ~ quote from 'the official movie companion'

T2 skynet blu-ray + car broke down

my car broke down at the heeren car park. i was unwrapping david cook's cd for my wife when i heard a crack crack crack sound and the car engine died. poor getz, guess he worked hard lately carrying the extra weight of the quinny in his boot, 2day he broke down.

i had 4 more stamps to chop to get my $25 off the hmv loyalty card. apparently the old card i'm holding are replaced by new ones but they honour the old ones til expiry date. was here at hmv to get the yellow submarine + seseme street t-shirt, 2 for $50 else 1 for $32+. but the seseme street tee are only in x-large size so i just got the japanese yellow submarine tee. also not the ideal size, as medium size happen to fit better.

bought T2 skynet version blu-ray and the tee and got my tee discounted and david cook cd free for my wife.

the first car repair man from delgro came in at 2235hrs, 30mins reaction time from the hotline. he did all the diagnostics but forun my starter had brokedown.

the tow truck came 45mins later ....

i left my car at the sin min branch, the tow truck driver was kind enuff to drop me home, which is a 5mins drive from the repair centre. delgro had hired private contractors for after hours towing.

hop i get my car back 2mrw, and hope not too costly. in the meantime i need to buy a new ezlink card for public transport.

gta4

i was at ya-kun when i received a sms from junshen. he's bought GTA4 SE at gamescore this morning. gamescore opened their shop at 930am to cater for the gamers' early-bird-rush. the ps3 SE version sold out at 11am. the local distributer brought in R2 PAL versions for this game, regardless normal or special edition. i had my R1 version ordered thru amazon. tho i do get a little freebie by ordering thru amazon, but i really wouldnt mind this round to get a R2 PAL locally if it's on a global launch day. after much contemplation, i bought the R2 version, and will sell it off when my arrives thru the mail. found a blu-ray movie at laserflair .... hmm more christain bale.

nice foil outline on the embossed text of the game cover.

my fog lamp dropped off this morning. must have been that bad hump i drove across at high speed last nite. i swapped both lamps from normal to white lamps this time. $35 damaged. dream of a rush still ....

vpower still

liverpool beat inter milan on the 2nd leg and will be history where 4 english teams are in the quarter finals for the champions league.

fifth round of vpower yields another car. there are a total of 7 toy car models purchasable and i've got 5, and a few models are outta stock. i'm enjoying the umprh vpower is providing my car. and here's appleseed dvd i got from hmv 2days ago. have sold my R2 GT5 Prologue and R1 WWE Smackdown vs Raw 08 so now i'm left with 6 PS3 games in my library. tried dead rising last night on my 360 and it sure looks dated. pretty bored with the current status of video gaming.

more game OSTs and vodaphone

my wife had received the M1 $120 voucher for phone upgrade. she had wanted a beige K770i and there arent many outlets that carry this color. M1shop hotline located them only at IMM and Tampines branch and they are low in stocks.

at a closer view, my wife took the violet version as it appeal at the last min. i took up the vodaphone M1 wireless 422 pm plan for boundless internet roaming.

as i am using a mac book, i brought my macbook down for them to install onsite to see if it'll encounter any error b4 committing. the package consist of 3 lengths of usb wires, 1 vodaphone modem, 1 cd rom for windows vista and mac, a useless guide. i have to purchase a separate sim card with a random new number that allows me to surf. the sim card is slottted into the vodaphone modem. for higher priced speedier plan, a huawei modem is offered with the possible option of attaching it to a router for home use. all equipment re loaned from m1 with a 6 month contract.

as it took 1 hour for the sim card to be activated, when i got home, i had difficulty connecting using the vodaphone. i patch it up with a newer software than the supplied cdrom and it worked well. tho speed that i subscribed is 512k, relatively slow, it serves well for my budget.

bought my 3rd ferrari toy car from shell. this is my 3rd run on vpower for this year. vpower comparing to shell95 gives me the extra umph for my little car. rev power had increased. they had this promo about 2 weeks back where i could have my picture taken with the F1 car. every topup with vpower entitles me a toy car purchase.

i had expected my cds to arrive 2day, 6days after the stated delivery. this round it's a 3disc devil may cry 4 soundtrack and Gran Turismo 5 Prologue soundtrack.

the contents for the devil may cry 4 cd set

i dont feel like dancing

i'm totally drained now.

as i get older my energy takes toll on me. shopping for long distance i no longer has the stamina. or perhaps it was my nite duty the day b4.

at royal crowne hotel and heading to DFS for our product study. then to that's music at pacific + dinner. lait towers. takashima, while i slipped to HMV.then tangs, scotts and back to the, still parked at the original location, a nice $4 per entry. my wife got most of her goodies (not cny stuff for crying out loud), i got my prison break season 2 code1 finally, decided not to wait for the blu-ray version, and scissor sisters's last album.

why scissor sisters suddenly? thx to singsatr i sorta got addicted to this song.

my wife got me this little cute cat bowl. and incdiently i borke a bowl at my in-laws office that day, washed it and broke it in the sink when i slipped off my hands. i had soba.

seventh simon

a night to remember. the dullest shopping mall has it's treasures. my wife wanted to visit this jap cat bag store but apparently it's been closed for 2days already. the jap store to the right has her goodies of jap fabric bags n accessories. but the greatest find, hidden in a corner is 'ma maison japenese western restuarant'.

nice dim candlelite dinner, western food done in jap style. my wife had bolognese spaghetti, nice sweetish suace, i had beef omu butter rice. no drinks or wine but we went for deserts. mine was brownie with ice cream while my wife had a cheese cake.

at the entrance was a bucket of goodies. it was meant for families with children, every $10 spent u get $1 redeemable for the little jap toys. my wife wanted a water ballon but we didnt bring any children. the waitress later brought her a pink ballon which my wife had targeted all this while, so we celebrated her birthday early by 1 month.

payment after your dinner? please bring the key to the counter.

oh this place is at central (mall). it;s at level3 if i am not wrong, at the hidden corner where all the jap restuarants are. i parked at level 7, seventh, simon, my wife called out.

siamese raimese i met her at a bus stop along sin min yeserday when i sent my car to boon.

boon had repaired my bumper and he introduced me to man exhuast and i finnaly got my exhaust tip project completed. a little cut on the bumper with a new tip welded to the original.

day in the life of (a lazy person on a sunny saturday)

a lazy saturday my wife heads out to JB with her friends. i work up to a black coffee. too lazy to start off with my new quicken for mac that replaces the old faithful microsoft money on the pc. i gotta wait for the postman to come too, hopingly truful as he was expected to come in 2 days ago.

2 days ago was national day. i wished he (the postman) had arrived on the eve itself so i can have some home entertainment from this amazon shippment. i have chosed international expedited priority shipping, looks like it screwed-up. 2 software i ordered thru applestore online came in this morning instead. the courier had to have his eyes looked elsewhere, behind the door to receive the package was this semi-fat, tattooed n semi-naked in a boxers without any erection, boy this is not my day he must have mumbled.

nice tee the back print .... but i have just too many. this tee from the HK WCG is available via play-asia.com, yes too many tees i have .... some yellowed, some grew stale stacked n stocked .... too many tees. ok to console myself, this tee doesnt have a PS3 logo .... not good enuff for me.

now my list to "to buy magazines monthly" grew in numbers. there's
1) EGM US
2) GameInformer
3) PSM US
4) Playstation Official Magazine UK (picture above for sept issue)
5) MacLife US
6) MacWorld US
n bimonthly StarWars Insider

my damaged bumper. gonna get this fix by Hwee Boon, my primary school classmate who took over his father's biz in car paint spray n body repairs. i got a couple of my colleagues to visit him with their problems. decent workmanship with great prices. a nice chap my collegaues feedbacked. he'll help me do my long delayed exhaust pipe tip project as well, likely from his aquintances .... Man Exhaust. do take note it's pronouced as "mun" not "man".

finally picture for the day .... my old adi bathroom sandals neglected by the road.

devil inside

my rear lip i ordered from MKY took 3weeks instead of 10days to arrive via sea. finally got it fixed this morning after work near his block at the multi storey carparkat tampines. took an hour, with a guest cat who favours my company.

my front lip was done by him quite awhile back, got busted at the carpark of a hotel, n got it patched by old friend hwee boon, whom now takes charge of his father's car paint spray n repair workshop at sin min. it's nice to have him as an alliance, on car accident matters n such. i have avoided driving near his workshop, because many times it became a bad omen to visit him soon after. at least 3 occasions i remembered.

i've added a muffler tip i bought from autobacs this evening. feel strange without a exhaust tip.

my wife smsed me this afternoon, informing me she'll be extending another day stay at PJ KL. looks like i gotta bring twiggy to the vet alone 2mrw at PAWS. she'll be getting her 3rd vaccination. she's 4mths old now.

with my wife away i took a chance to hang out with my 2 nephews, don n emmanuel, took them for a short drive around the neighbourhood. and too, time to catch up with some gaming. my 5hrs sleep isnt helping, but my mind seems at ease 2nite. yep i do missed my wife .... hope we'll spend some quality time over xmas dinner. my devil tattoo on my right chest. i've got 4 tatts so far, would like to have a star tattoo someday.

plastic cards for plastic people

my annual leave starts 2mrw. this 10day slot was balloted last november. as we [the zombie family aka horror couple] had planned for a shopping trip to japan next year, and by 'planned' we do not imply we will save funds for it, this year's leave is a low key.

the original options were to make a visit to the ruins of places like cambodia or laos or vietnam or of that sort, OR, a regional cruise on the star cruises, OR, another rerun at bintan Angsana or Btree, Or lastly an option to KL.

with some unforseen circumcisions, we were cut to paying for a wrong trip [still waiting for the partial refund] and had to come down to a 2day bus ride to malaysia KL.

staying away from prozac, i am dealing life with much laze and pace by "doing it" one at a time from my neverending tasklist.

yesterday i had finally brought my car for servicing. tho nothing compared to other drivers who'll bring their car to the agents, i left my landspeeder with the good hands of CAS Delgro. additional oil changes cost me $306 form the intended $148 package. had my aircon gas topped up and the transmission oil re-piped. now the car aircon stinks with supposed freshness. yuks.

can helping mum rewire the tv and disc players this morning be considered but of my programme? ok leave start only 2mrw, last day for thw wicked .... i'll be diligent when my 13day recuperation commences.

i'm enjoying RockStar:Supernova on StarTv. ok i know who's Jason Newsted and TommyLee looks hagged. but who's Gilby Clarke? still, anytime better watching SingaporeIdol on the other channel. ok, teenagers and hopeful parents still exist, or do people watch it as a perv entertainment?

my new number plate

the rain thwarted us for a hike to the macritchie treetop. i had brought along 2 kubricks while my wife brought a blythedoll for photography. we were complaining about bad sun but it was the opposite that shortened the day. above my new number plate in chrome.

bought 2 items yesterday at heeren. my most expensive cd to date.
