made a trip to surrender at devonshire road 2day. look-seeing for a pouch for my new phone. i've told myself i'll be back the last time i was here, when i get my aino. aino's promoted 2day in to town, official launch with satio.

and after my payment for my items, this brown pouch caught my wife's eye. she paid for it, i looked in envy, and at the outside of the shop, she presented to me as my early present .... whoopee !!!

this pouch is under the brownie dot series. it can be real useful for my cam lens when i dont carry the whole bag out.

aino sony ericsson + remoteplay

hey my aino finally touchdown. $770 cash. traded in the hello kitty n my w508 to reduce price of the phone .... what's that triangle? touch on the screen and swipe up and opens a nice menu ....

hey man nice shot .... the buttons opens up cam, media, music, video folders and functions .... the phone is not touch screen when u exposed the keyboard. but when keppad is shut, the screen is touchscreen on certain menus ....

the box .... satio's box is of the same size but the box sony ericsson logo for satio is red .... hmm.

oh the phone comes with the data cable, charger, a simple manual, warranty card, and a nice charing stand and a bluetooth headset. both phone and headset can be charged via the stand simultaneously.

the charging stand has 2 inputs, one for the data/usb cable while the other for the charger

select remote play register via the xmb on the PS3 .... a number code is generated, unlike the psp registering method. a countdown timer starts

select remote play on the aino, punch in the numbers ....

viola, remoteplay works fine .... remoteplay connects via the wi-fi w/o me physically tagging to my home network. guess for remote play from another network will prob need me connect to the wi-fi b4 hand.

ok time to charge my phone .... 7to8hours the usual for best batt life .... hey, the bluetooth headset lites up when charging, that's a nice touch ....

2 new cds

took the train to work and back, so took the opportunity to track hmv for my "market research"

they were playing pete yorn x scarlett johanssen's "i am the cosmos" made big by big star. i carried the cd for 30mins b4 i returned it to the counter when paying .... decided to just download the song off iTunes with my last credits instead of getting the whole album.

hey i shld stop buying magazines like i used too ....

stuff zine and almost loose my vaio

at pageone vivocity, lugging many items in hand, placed my vaio on a shelf and took my wallet out of the bag, paid for the mini size stuff uk zine. walked out realizing my hands seems empty. did i left my vaio in the car? shld i proceed back to see, or did i accidentally left it on the cashier counter?

i asked the cashier did she see a labtop here? did anyone paid after me, no and no, she asked if i left it at the magazine rack? i turned and saw my vaio on a dvd shelf, fucking goodness, i almost lost my vaio ....

my cd came in 2day. supposedly banned in singapore. rebought uncharted2 on R1 .... hmm

uncharted 2: among thieves

called funzcentre while i drove towards amk hub. as 2day i've changed duty 30mins to work earlier with delta watch to attend khung hui's wedding dinner, and knowing that R3 uncharted 2: among thieves for ps3 is gonna be available this morning, it'll be a disaster not to have the game when i get home at 11pm. when i got to the shop, adrian, my new stall assistant was busy attending to the calls enquiring for the game. 15mins he told all those who called. he popped over during a breather, chris is on his way up with the stock. i was relived. it was 1145am, 45mins to drive to changi tower.


and last weekend i bought this for a nice $19. crsytal gave me 2 EA tees free from fifa10 and 2 ps3 tees free from buing ps3 slim. hmm, i feel very valued shopping with them. these phones worked well with the go but dont do well when i play music on the go.


and at last, managed to complete the hello kitty pearl cards book for my wife, #34 is the last card done thru trading via singaporemotherhood forum. achievement.

playmobil special forces

got this coupa of days back. as requested from Leon from open the toy blogman, here's a short review of this toy.

playmobil goes way back. my first encounter will prob be 1976? or was it 1977, when star wars was real hot.

do you identify playmobil as action figures in the 21st century term. i think no. they remain as a toy, prob called toy figures.

no one will prob understand playmobil, or bloody gets facinated by them unless u still have the child at heart and you cherish the pass, when you were a kid, and they were like best pals to you past-time.

they were plain, the calvary series that most of us cant forget [and are missing in the 2009 catalog] and the cars with the sterring wheel, the rubber tyres, and the little revolver, and then we started painting our playmobil and zapped .... they were missing from the shelves in singapore.

born in denmark, they were at great heights together with star wars action figures back then. what and why caused them to go missing in metros and yaohans? they were still availalbe overseas, but ebay wasnt big in the 90s, so we'll have friends to buy them back when they travelled.

they make a return in the 2000s, but never got that big anymore. but our hearts will always be with them, hoping someday, our children will endure this old toy, be that director we onced were, making houses and cars with lego and playmobils the main cast.


my macro lens manged to capture better closed up, this figure the special force in in fact a 2006 line. it has pay nice detail, including a button for the torch ....


a movable visor, a pistol, a rifle,nice paint on the uniform [u dont get that back then], boots [u dont get that back then], emblems, bulletproved vest, nice touch for us toy collectors who's into specail forces for 12inches.

nice detail too for the hand grip of the pistol



another nice touch will be the torch could be attached to the rifle as a lightscope.

you can find this figure at comics connection, wonder why they start selling playmobils? maybe someday i'll go dig out some of my 90s playmobil, think i still have that rally car ....

and in the spirit of toy collecting, may i quote, "open the toy", dont keep it in the box, you're missing all the fucking fun.

sony macro lens and arrival of Terminator Sarah Chronicles Season 2

my terminator sarah chronicles season 2 arrived 2day. the delivery for normal shipping via amazon seems pretty stable lately, this round takes 11days. the attraction for this season will prob be shirley manson.

only realized this lens was out already. i've needed a macro lens for my toy closed up so this budget macro lens works great. bought from MS Color at $299. also grabbed a m2 card for my psp go at $50. memoryonlineshop at ebay will sell this at a nice $42.



now i can go real near for detail

the day started off sending my wife to work. then went ntuc bishan for a quick grab of lucas' mamy poko. he's wearing large now so it's 55 pieces per pack, can finish like a week. bleached my hair and then send my car in to delgro engineering for brakes inspection. i hear grinding sound when i apply the brakes. like visiting the doctor, after booking an appointment, the sound disappear.

was advised i need to change ATF oil as well. haron tested the car and didnt hear anything either, prob some rust that had wore off. he suggested also to do a servicing to reduce the the price. and hours later when i was at hmv, i was told i had to change he wiper, and also mend up an oil leak. hence i cant have my car 2nite, no car for children's day, but my wife dont need to pick me up so it works nice that i collect my car 2mrw. hope they will remove that rattling sound too, the hitting of my exhuast pipe to my rear bumper.

my task besides above will be the hunt for the perfect launch of PS3 slim and PSP go. shops i visited, bishan sony and game shop, wisma sony, uptron and taka, paragon sony, orchard central sony, orchard central funzcentre, sony funan, funan gamescore, funan zavi, ion juzz1 and finally back to uptron.

in the morning, most stores have no stock, or no gifts for niether PS3 slim and PSP go. psn asia was empty too, no sign of gt psp nor minis. until mid aftenoon slowly shops has stock but no gifts. best was Juzz1 at ion, they didnt even know PSP go is launch 2day. only orchard central sony has freebies, brollie for PSP go and tee for PS3 slim.

i was originally set to buy PS3 slim. but then again my phat is doing still superb. i needed to check the free tee, and it sucked indeed. tested PSP go at orchard central, tho the buttons looked kinda cramp, it felt well.

at 5pm, the aura came and i headed back to uptron at taka, their stuff finnaly arrived. the $40 network card with free tee finally arrived, first shop in singapore, prob cos they are the distributors after all. i grab my stuff happy and went home.

and to my happiness, asia psn is uploaded with all the goodies, incl GT and minis .....

bought marvel alliance2 guide and 2 cds from hmv as well .... a happy children's day ....
